A former Seattlite turned Bostonian, Doug Bowen Flynn has been an active member of Boston’s vibrant theatre and acting community since 1998.  Having earned a masters degree in Dramatic Arts from Harvard University and having been selected to join the masters acting training program with the Stanislavky School through the Moscow Art and American Repertory Theatres, Doug is student of the technical, artistic, and historical components of acting.

As an Actors’ Equity member, Doug is honored to have shared many stages throughout Greater Boston with a cohort of talented peers, from Three Farces and a Funeral and We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay! at ART, to Romeo and Juliet at New Repertory Theatre, to Reflections of a Rock Lobster and To Kill a Mockingbird at Boston Children’s Theatre, to numerous Commonwealth Shakespeare productions.

Doug also performed principal roles in such films as Mystic River, The Waterfront, Invention of Lying, and The War that Made America and can be seen in television commercials for companies like Visa, Comcast, Applebee’s, and Dunkin Donuts.

Doug’s additional skills include stage combat (hand gun, rifle, rapier, dagger, quaterstaff, bow), dialects (Standard British, Scottish, American Southern, Oklahoma, Russian, Indian), improvisation, and voice-over.

Doug’s commitment to the dramatic world goes even deeper, as he is also privileged to have served on the SAG-AFTRA New England Board of Directors for over 6 years.
